 The Verger team plays a critical role, ensuring smooth running of the worshipping life of the Minster.

This is a supervisory role under the direction of the Head Verger, with responsibility for ensuring that our Vergers, working closely with other teams, manage physical spaces and equipment adequately within the Minster to support events, performances and learning programmes throughout the year.

You will ensure that high standards of general housekeeping are maintained at all times so that the Cathedral is always presented in the best possible way to our many worshippers and visitors throughout the year.

You will support and assist the Head Verger as required and in their absence will be responsible for the effective supervision of the Vergers.

The successful applicant will have previous experience both leading and working as part of a team with excellent planning, organisational and communication skills, as well as a familiarity with Christian worship.
