Thank you for your interest in the role of Learning and Participation Officer. This varied and exciting role will be vital in rebuilding the learning offer after the Covid-19 Pandemic. A key part of this role will be to deliver a schools programme that will excite learners and engage them in the cathedral’s story and mission. The unique environment of York Minster will enable the Learning and Participation Officer to collaborate with colleagues in the creation and delivery of learning opportunities that cover a range of topics and disciplines. The post is funded for 18 months with a commitment to extend beyond provided we can offer schools and other learning groups a sustainable programme. Beyond the formal learning programme this role would see the wider support and delivery of informal learning for adult leisure learners and families. We aim to recruit this role in conjunction with a Learning and Participation Manager who would become a direct line manager. The successful candidate will sit among a wider team of highly professional, committed and supportive colleagues in the Visitor Experience Department.
The role is 35 hours per week. Although we can accommodate agile home working for specific occasions, this role for the larger part requires the Learning and Participation Officer to provide in person delivery to visiting groups. Occasional weekend and evening working may be required.
Please note this role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at enhanced level.
The closing date for applications is 23:59 on Monday 6th February 2023. Interviews will take place in the week commencing Monday 13th February 2023.
To apply please download an Application Pack and download and complete an Application Form, Confidential Declaration Form, and an Equality Diversity Monitoring Form. Please send completed forms to firstname.lastname@example.org
