This Christmas, in recognition that many people will be unable to join us at the cathedral due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we’re inviting everyone to have a presence in the Minster by sending in a three word message. The message will be printed on a star, which will be hung on one of the Christmas trees in the Minster.
As the star lit the way to the Christ Child, and the What3Words app guides today’s rescue services to those who are lost, so our What3Words stars will guide our way to Christmas in the Minster.
Your message could be a person’s name, a prayer, a “what3words” location of family or friends you are missing, an issue of concern, or three words which sum up what Christmas means to you. If you would like to send a longer message that’s fine too.
Covid-19 restrictions are expected to see the Minster lose over £100,000 in revenue from collections and donations this Advent, so if you are able, please make a donation towards the upkeep of this sacred cathedral.
What will your three words be?
