See what's on this Summer at York Minster


 

Each Wednesday during the summer holidays (27th July- 3rd September) families can enjoy hands-on animal craft activities that celebrate the theme of Noah’s Ark.

There will also bespecial storytelling sessions and fun family-friendly tours of the cathedral on each of these activity days.

Take part in a craft activity and earn a sticker towards your Arts Award Discover certificate, in partnership with York Theatre Royal, Explore York, York Army Museum and York Museums Trust.

Crafts take place on Wednesdays, 10am-3pm:

2nd August, Sculpt your own clay grotesque
9th August, Make a beautiful butterfly mobile
16th August, Create your own fish streamer
23rd August, Design a dazzling dragon puppet
30th August, Make a fierce lion mask

Age guide: Suitable for 4+ years (accompanied by an adult).

Cost per craft activity: £2.50 per participant, standard admission charges apply*

*Admission ticket lasts for 12 months. Family 12-month ticket from £10 (valid for up to 4 children visiting the Minster with 1 adult). FREE admission to Minster for York residents with York card.

Booking is not required.

Little Explorer Backpacks and the Story Chest will also available every day throughout the summer holidays (27th July- 3rd September).
