Lunchtime visitors to York Minster in the five Thursdays leading up to Easter will be able to drop in to the cathedral’s North Transept for the 2017 Lent Talks series.

The theme for this year’s talks is ‘Journeys of Faith’.  Five inspirational contributors will share their personal experiences and reflections on faith and how the Bible helps them to make sense of their faith in today’s world.  They will draw parallels with the Lent and Easter story and the journey of faith that led Jesus Christ through the Passion, crucifixion and resurrection.

The Lent Talks will take place in the Minster’s North Transept every Thursday for five weeks starting on Thursday 9 March from 1.15 until 2.15pm.  Entrance at the West End of the cathedral.  Minster Hosts will welcome you on arrival and direct you to the North Transept.  This is a free event.

The third talk on Thursday 23 March will be given by Christina Rees CBE & will be titled ‘Heading into the Wind – Heading into Life’.

Christina is a writer and broadcaster and has been a member of General Synod for 25 years while being a founding member of the Archbishops’ Council & campaigner for women’s ordination.
