The Francis Jackson Centenary Organ Recitals (every Saturday from 29 July until 26 August)
This year, the ever popular series of Summer Organ Recitals have been named in honour of York Minster’s distinguished Organist Emeritus, Dr Francis Jackson CBE who celebrates his 100th birthday in October. The five concerts in the series will include performances by the Minster’s acclaimed team of three organists and two internationally renowned guest performers.
The season continues on Saturday 19 August with a recital by Jeremy Lloyd, Assisting Organist at York Minster. Jeremy’s programme will include:

Jeremy Lloyd is the Assisting Organist at York Minster where he accompanies the Minster Choir on a regular basis as part of the daily round of services. Jeremy was previously the Organ Scholar at Peterborough Cathedral, where he regularly accompanied and rehearsed the boy and girl choristers, alongside having a major role in the training of the probationer choristers.
Jeremy joined York Minster in September 2016, having previously held positions at Peterborough Cathedral, The London Oratory, and Methodist Central Hall, Westminster. He is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music with first class honours, and is in demand throughout the UK as a solo performer and accompanist.
Each recital starts at 7.00pm.
