Eastern Europe produced some of the most distinctive choral music of the 20th century.  Our programme includes Pärt's Magnificant and pieces by Rachmaninov, Schnittke and Esevalds.  This concert celebrates the unveling of the East Window of York Minster and begins a series of concerts on themes of exile, reconciliation and peace, leading up to the centenary of the end of World War I.

Running time: 2 hours (with interval)
