11.30am: Crib Service – hear the Christmas story in a fun and accessible service for families with carols and musical accompaniment. Children are encouraged to dress up as characters from the Nativity and there will be a chance to see the crib.

Free tickets are required to attend the service in person, these tickets are now fully booked.

 

4.00pm: Nine Lessons and Carols – the second of two services consisting of nine special readings, carols sung by the Choir of York Minster and hymns for everyone to join in. A traditional Christmas celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

 11.30pm: First Eucharist of Christmas (Midnight Mass) – the First Communion of Christmas with Blessing of the Crib and choral music.

No tickets are required to attend this service. 

 

The service of Nine Lessons and Carols on Saturday 24 December at 4.00pm will also be livestreamed via our YouTube channel and this page so you can enjoy the service from the comfort of your own home. You may like to light a candle in your window as we celebrate the arrival of Christ together.
