Farewell to the Bishop of Beverley

Saturday 8 January 2022 – 12pm

In-person tickets for this service are now FULLY BOOKED.

A farewell service will be held at York Minster to celebrate the work of Bishop Glyn Webster and his retirement as Bishop of Beverley.

The service will be a chance for people to give thanks for Bishop Glyn’s ministry and his work across the Province of York, as well as praying for him as he takes the next step on his journey.

Bishop Glyn spent many years at York Minster as Canon Treasurer then Canon Chancellor, during which he was twice Acting Dean, before becoming Bishop of Beverley in 2013.

The farewell service will take place in York Minster on Saturday 8 January, at 12pm where Bishop Glyn will be preaching and music will be performed by the Choir of York Minster.

Due to the anticipated attendance and the need to safely manage the number of people inside the cathedral, this service will require a pre-booked ticket.

This service will also be livestreamed via our YouTube channel and this page.

The order of service is available here.
