The Very Revd. Dominic Barrington, Dean of York will preach throughout Holy Week, offering a series of sermons entitled ‘The Last Word: Who gets the last word in Holy Week?’ to guide us through the Passion of Christ.

 

The sermons will be given at the following services:

Compline, Monday 3 April, 7.30pm – ‘The Prophet’s Last Word’

Compline, Tuesday 4 April, 7.30pm – ‘Paul’s Last Word’

Holy Communion, Wednesday 5 April, 12noon – ‘Judas’ Last Word’

Eucharist of the Last Supper, Thursday 6 April, 7.00pm – ‘Love’s Last Word’

The Three Hours’ Devotion, Friday 7 April, 12noon – ‘The Evangelists’ Last Words’

The Liturgy of Good Friday, Friday 7 April, 1.30pm – ‘The Last Word of all – John’s Last Word’

The Vigil and First Eucharist of Easter, Saturday 8 April, 8.00pm – ‘God’s Last Word… and Ours’
