Scroll to explore

Hear from the experts behind the once-a-century refurbishment of the Grand Organ at this special talk celebrating the completion of the project.

Join Robert Sharpe, York Minster’s Director of Music, Andrew Scott, Head Voicer at organ specialists Harrison and Harrison and graining and marbling specialist Robert Woodland to explore the craft skills which went into the landmark refurbishment, the first on this scale since 1903.

The evening will include demonstrations by York Minster’s Assistant Director of Music, Ben Morris, to showcase the range and character of the newly refurbished instrument.

Tickets for the talk are now sold out, but will be available to watch via livestream which can be found below.

The talk is part of a programme of activity to celebrate the Grand Organ’s return which includes a photography exhibition from 18 June to 18 July documenting the landmark project.
