Services for All Saints’ Day

Part of a Season of Remembrance at York Minster

Scroll to explore

York Minster’s season of remembrance begins on Saturday 31 October with a service of Evensong at 5.30pm on the Eve of All Saints Day.

All Saint’s Day is celebrated fully on 1 November and all services will commemorate the lives of the Saints who have gone before us, people in the life of the church throughout the ages who have inspired faith, hope and love in the lives of those around them.

The services on Sunday 1 November will be 8am Holy Communion, 10am Choral Matins, 11am Solemn Eucharist for All Saints and Choral Evensong at 4pm.

Free tickets for the Sunday services need to be booked in advance to help us safely manage numbers inside the cathedral and are available here.

These services form part of a season of remembrance at the Minster which includes a new digital art installation called People We Love, part of the city-wide York Mediale festival, a day to remember those who have died this year on 2 November, All Soul’s Day, and the annual service of Thanksgiving and Commemoration for Remembrance Sunday on 8 November.
