Baroque music for Holy Week including Pergolesi Stabat mater and Gilles Lamentations

The Ebor Singers explore Baroque music for Holy Week from across Europe, from Italy Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, a powerful depiction of Mary standing at the cross of Jesus; from France Jean Gilles’ expressive Lamentations of Jeremiah, and from England penitential motets by Richard Dering.
