The Winter Village at York Minster brings the best of both location and local produce to this brand new event.

Situated at the foot of the majestic South Door of York Minster, The Winter Village comprises several decorative wooden cabins offering food, drinks, gifts and the perfect place to sit and admire the view.

The team behind The Winter Village have been busy working with over 30 local businesses to bring their products to The Yorkshire Shop for visitors to buy throughout the seven-week period. Choose from food and drink from local companies including Love Cheese, Wharfe Valley Oils, Reet Yorkshire and Baytown Coffee. Gifts are brought to you from Yorkshire Blankets, We Drifters, The Little Yorkshire Candle Company, Paul Franklin Photography and many more.

The Yorkshire Bottle Shop will also be open daily offering a fantastic range of beers and spirits for you to buy as gifts, or as a special treat for yourself. Brands include York Gin, Sloe Motion, Priory Vodka, Luxlo Spirits, Ravenhill Brewery and Whitby Distillery to name a few. The perfect tipple for everybody!

For those wanting a beverage whilst shopping or simply taking a moment to soak up the view, The Village Bar will be fully licensed and offers everything from traditional gluhwein, draught beers and a selection of hot and cold drinks, including fabulous coffee and everyone’s Christmas favourite, hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. Heated and covered tables are available within the grounds offering the best view in York this Christmas to get you in the festive mood.

Food will be brought to you by The Dog Haus, who recently cooked for guests at Yorktoberfest. Bringing his range of fabulous traditional bratwurst, currywurst and loaded fries, The Dog Haus offers warming, comfort food every day. Look out for the weekend specials.
