Adrian Dwyer tenor

Matthew Brook bass

Peter Seymour conductor

Puccini          Messa di Gloria

Verdi              Quattro pezzi sacri (Four Sacred Pieces)

Both these pieces have all the drama and musical beauty of the operatic works for which their composers are better known. The Mass was written as a graduation exercise by the young trailblazer in his early twenties; the ‘Four Sacred Pieces’ dates from the last years of the old master’s life. Together they provide a festive conclusion to the University year.
