Threshold offers an experience of worship that is multi-sensory and contemplative in style and creative in its approach. Services offer a mix of music from The Ebor Singers, silence, meditation, prayer stations and opportunities to be still in the inspiring spaces of the Minster after dark.
We offer an open space in which everyone is welcome as we explore what it means to build communities of peace, purpose and Christian hope amidst the complex challenges of today’s world.
Throughout 2018, we are exploring pathways to peace - with ourselves, with those around us, and with God, and discovering the peace that dwell within day by day. Our dates this year are:
21st January Peace with others: breaking down dividing walls
18th February Peace within ourselves: being transformed
18th March Peace and the Kingdom of God: hoping for a future
22nd April Peace in Christ: following the shepherd
27th May Peace in Community: dancing into life
24th June Peace and life's choices: preparing the way of the Lord
15th July Peace in our time: playing on the threshold of the Kingdom
23rd September Peace in action: reconciling all creation
21st October Peace at the end: facing our mortality
18th November Peace and reconciliation: rebuilding the city
