York Minster and the York Minster Fund work with a range of partners, from specialist trusts to tourism agencies.

York Glaziers Trust

The York Glaziers Trust undertakes all work associated with the care and protection of York Minster’s 128 windows, which contain the largest and most diverse collection of historic stained-glass in Britain.

In 2017 the cathedral announced a 20-year partnership with the Trust to ensure all its irreplaceable windows are protected by state-of-the-art environmental protective glazing. The external glazing will protect the stained glass from the elements which cause corrosion and decay and buy much needed time for vital conservation work to take place.
