York Minster is open daily for sightseeing. 

As a living church, we do occasionally need to close at short notice. Please check our Plan Your Visit page for our latest opening times.

Standard sightseeing opening times:

• Monday to Saturday: 9.30am to 4.00pm, with last booking slot at 3.30pm.
• Sunday: 12.45pm – 3.15pm, with last booking slot at 2.45pm.

Entry to the Undercroft is free with general admission.

York Minster is open daily for worship.

Monday to Saturday:

• 7.30am: Morning Prayer
• 7.50am: Holy Communion
• 5.30pm: Evensong (Evening Prayer on Mondays)

Sunday:

• 8.00am: BCP Communion
• 10.00am: Matins
• 11.00am: Choral Eucharist
• 4.00pm: Choral Evensong

The popular green space which lies on the north side of the cathedral is open daily from 7.00am – 7.00pm.
