What's onVisiting York Minster.
VisitCombining elements of folk, jazz and rock music with contemporary choral writing, Will Todd’s Requiem is a dramatic musical interpretation of ancient texts. Scored for choir, soprano soloist and virtuosic electric guitar, it is by turns unearthly and uplifting, mysterious and lyrical, unnerving and beautiful – reflecting on death and the resurrection.
The Fairhaven Singers commissioned and premiered this unique and awe-inspiring work in 2008, and they are joined in the majestic Nave by York’s Chapter House Choir, with soprano Susan Young and guitarist Thomas Gray.
Tickets priced between £10-20 are now available online or by calling our Box Office on 01904 557200. Please note there are concessionary prices available for children and students.
