It takes a multidisciplinary team of skilled heritage craftspeople and experts in their field to maintain and care for the ongoing cycle of repair, restoration, conservation and development of York Minster, its ancient buildings, and monuments. Our Centre of Excellence houses the complete range of craft and trade skills that are vital to achieve this.

As a York Minster Joiner you will contribute to ensuring the precinct and properties are maintained and cared for to the highest standard. This might mean repairing sash windows or installing a kitchen in a listed property, repairing or conserving timber within the Cathedral, or designing and building props for the Visitor Experience team.

We are seeking a candidate with a high attention to detail and enthusiasm for the craft as well as a commitment to team development and joinery and conservation best practice.
