It takes a multidisciplinary team of skilled heritage craftspeople and experts in their field to maintain and care for the ongoing cycle of repair, restoration, conservation and development of York Minster, its ancient buildings, and monuments. Our Centre of Excellence houses the complete range of craft and trade skills that are vital to achieve this. Stonemasons are an essential part of this incredibly talented team.

We are looking for experienced Stonemasons that can evidence a high skill level within the craft of Stonemasonry. The successful candidates will have experience of ecclesiastical stonemasonry as well as knowledge of stone conservation methods. They will demonstrate a pride in and enthusiasm for the craft as well as creativity and a high attention to detail.
