Saturday Mornings at York Minster

11 November 10am

Join our new sessions for families – Saturday Mornings at York Minster – and get hands on creating wreaths before joining the Act of Remembrance.

Families are invited to come at any time during the free 45 minute event, which starts at 10am, and stay for as long or as little as they like.

Grab a backpack and get ready to explore the medieval Minster with full with gadgets including maps, binoculars, and a magnifying glass, perfect for young adventurers.

Maths Quest

Have you ever wondered how many panes of glass make up the Five Sisters Window? Look for shapes, patterns and numbers as you journey around York Minster.

Undercroft Museum

Gets hands on with history with our interactive chambers and digital chambers in our state-of-the-art Undercroft Museum. Follow in the footsteps of a Roman solider as you delve beneath the cathedral’s floor and discover 2000 years of history.

Free with general admission.


General admission is free for York residents and students with valid proof of a York address. Don’t forget that up to four children aged 17 and under go free with a paying adult.
