A Make It York event

The popular York Ice Trail returns to York on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 February with a range of magnificent ice sculptures set to transform the city centre. The trail will explore the theme of ‘Origins’ and feature sculptures inspired by legends, myths, and York’s rich history.

This year, York Minster’s sculpture ‘At The Cutting Edge’ will feature traditional tools still used by Minster stonemasons suspended in an icy blade similar to the state-of-the-art saws that are housed in the cathedral’s new Technology Hub.

The sculpture will be situated inside the Minster’s Masons’ Lodge and will be visible to the public from Minster Yard.

For more information about the Ice Trail, visit www.visityork.org.
