York Minster

The Chapter of York is supported by a team of 200 staff split between seven departments.

Each department is led by a director, who is part of the Senior Leadership Team which is responsible for the day to day management and delivery of the cathedral’s activities.

David Colthup - Chapter Steward

David is responsible for the development of the resources of the Minster (buildings, money and people).

Robert Sharpe – Director of Music

Robert is responsible for organising and directing all aspects of the Minster’s music, as well as arranging its programme of concerts, broadcasts and tours.

Alex McCallion – Director of Works and Precinct

Alex oversees the maintenance, restoration and conservation of the cathedral and its precinct properties and services.
