Sightseeing tickets must be booked in advance on Sundays due to reduced visitor opening hours.

Heritage Fair

Be amongst the first to go behind the scenes at York Minster’s Centre of Excellence for Heritage Craft Skills and Estate Management at a one-off Heritage Fair on Saturday 2 August.

The day’s events will allow members of the public to explore two new buildings – the Heritage Quad and the Works & Technology Hub – which together have established the York Minster Precinct as a world-class campus facility for research, education and training in traditional craft skills. Visitors will also be able to see first-hand the extensive sustainable initiatives delivered through the construction of these two new buildings, including the latest photovoltaic technology and rainwater harvesting techniques.
