York Minster is seeking a talented individual to work as School Singing Lead in state primary schools in the York Diocese.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a choral leader with a desire to nurture creativity, foster expression, and shape the voices and musical foundations of future generations. We’re looking for a skilled leader of children’s voices who will play a key role in developing their abilities thus fostering a life-long love of music and performance.
This role is funded through the National School Singing Programme. The NSSP initiative takes inspiration from the model developed by the Diocese of Leeds in 2003. York Minster has been working in several state schools in York and the surrounding area since it partnered with the NSSP in 2024.
