Explore your city for less with York Residents’ Festival, organised by Make It York, on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January.

York Residents can enjoy free General Admission entry to York Minster, one of the world’s most magnificent cathedrals.

Follow in the footsteps of Roman soldiers and discover the Minster’s connections to Viking York in our state-of-the-art Undercroft Museum; explore Yorkshire treasures, medieval stained glass and the making of a royal statue in our exciting exhibitions; or simply soak up the atmosphere of an 800 year old building with a history stretching over two millennia.

This offer is for York residents and students only with valid ID* – all other visitors will be charged the usual admission rates.

*Valid ID consists of a York Card or a utility bill with a York address. Student cards for all local colleges and universities will be accepted with a valid date. Please note, York residents are classed as those whose postcode falls under the jurisdiction of the City of York Council.
