Experience panoramic views of York from the highest point in the city – York Minster’s Central Tower.
As part of York Residents’ Festival, we are offering York residents and students the chance to see the wonderful landscape of York for free from our Central Tower on Saturday 29 January and Sunday 30 January.
The Central Tower offers unrivalled views of the city and is the highlight of many people’s visit to the Minster. See medieval stonework and gothic grotesques as you climb the 275 steps to the top.
Usually priced at £5 per person, all Tower Trips throughout the Festival will be free for York residents and students.
Trips begin every 45 minutes starting 10.30am on Saturday, with the last taking place at 3.30pm. On Sunday, the first trips take place at 1.15pm and the last at 2.45pm.
Members of our volunteering team, including the York Minster Flower Arrangers and our Guides, will also be inside the Minster Saturday 29 January to showcase the volunteering opportunities available at York Minster, and speak to anyone wishing to join our volunteering community.
