We seek to provide pastoral support for all who come to York Minster because they are bereaved.

Funerals are now allowed to safely go ahead at York Minster in line with the Government and the Church of England’s guidance. More information about funerals during the coronavirus pandemic can be found here.

We take funerals and memorial services for members of our community, past and present. Sometimes we are able to host large funerals and memorial services for neighbouring parishes when their buildings are too small to accommodate large congregations.
