Early morning Minster

Start your day with a unique experience at York Minster. Explore the cathedral in the early hours, before it opens to the general public, with one of our expert tour guides and discover the story of this sacred place which has attracted people from across the globe for more than 1000 years.

Early morning tours take place on selected Mondays throughout the year. Tickets must be booked in advance and are limited to twenty people per tour.

Breakfast at York Minster Refectory

When the tour has concluded, your guide will escort you to York Minster Refectory, a brasserie style restaurant with unique views of the cathedral, for a delicious breakfast.

Choose from a specially created menu featuring British-style favourites made with local, seasonal produce. The perfect way to start your day.

Each ticket includes a unique “out of hours” guided tour, a twelve-month annual pass, and a breakfast from York Minster Refectory. Numbers are limited to twenty people per group.
