York Minster is a unique place to work, made so not only by the incredible building and setting, but by its people, who contribute positively to achieving the Minster’s mission and uphold its values, and truly care about the future of the Minster.

Perhaps there’s more to working at York Minster than you realise.

As well as a thriving worshipping community, we welcome over 650,000 visitors per year; provide an evolving and expanding learning offer; and house the largest Cathedral library in the country, as well as a diverse collection of documents and objects, some of which date back 2,000 years.

We have a multidisciplinary team of skilled heritage craftspeople, who work to maintain and restore the gothic masterpiece of stone and stained glass that is York Minster, while our Choir’s mastery of the English choral tradition is one of the Minster’s crowning glories.

There are also roles you’d find in other organisations, from Finance, IT and People, to Marketing and Communications.
