We are pleased to announce that, thanks to the UK Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme, we can offer a £1.80 discount on General Admission tickets and £1 discount on Student Admission tickets from 25 June – 1 September. 

The Great British Summer Savings scheme reduces VAT applied to tickets to 5% for the period, helping our visitors to access Tripadvisor’s top-ranked visitor destination in York at a reduced cost through summer. We’ve had to work quickly, incurring significant costs to help make these changes, but have passed on as much as we, a charity with no regular funding from the government, are able. 

The excellent value continues for families as up to four children aged 17 and under go free with each paying adult and every ticket allows unlimited repeat visits for a year.  

This summer also sees the Minster hosting large-scale LEGO® activities as the commemorations for the 800th anniversary of the canonisation of York’s patron saint, St William of York, continue with a focus on the incredible art and architecture he inspired.
