Scroll to explore

York Minster is open daily for individual prayer and services. You can learn about the measures we’ve put in place to help keep everyone safe when they visit here.

Pre-booking for Sunday services is now in place for all services from 27 September.
Please book your ticket(s) HERE.
Tickets will be available 8 days in advance and are capped at 4 per transaction. All services remain free of charge.

On Sundays, services take place at the following times:

All services – with the exception of Matins (Quire) – take place in the Nave, with entry through the West End and exit via the South Transept for all.

As one of our safety measures in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, we will not be giving out service books, but you can download the orders of service for Morning Prayer on Sunday Autumn, Evensong Autumn and Sung Eucharist Autumn to view on your phone/device during the service.

You are also welcome to visit for individual prayer during our general opening hours, see our Plan Your Visit page to check our opening times.
